LD Family Farm offers a variety of customizable lesson programs for beginning riders through intermediate level. We mainly focus on western riding and horsemanship.

Evaluation Rides are required in order to meet with each student, discuss goals and establish the riders skill level prior to setting up regular lessons.

Junior Rider Program is available for ages 4-6. These are half hour, 1 on 1 private lessons where we will work on learning basic horsemanship, grooming, tacking up and basic walk/trot riding beginning on a leadline.

Our regular lesson program is available for ages 7 & up - these lessons will focus on each riders goals and abilities as discussed in the evaluation ride.

There may also be availability for our riders to participate in horse shows through out the summer. This will be discussed and decided on an individual basis.

Lesson Days

Regularly scheduled lessons will be held on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday Afternoons/Evenings

Our lessons are offered in monthly packages - this means you pay one fee for the month whether there are 4 weeks or 5 weeks.

Makeup Policy

24 hour notice is required in the event that a lesson must be cancelled. We will schedule a make up lesson within 30 days of the scheduled lesson as long as 24 hour notice was given. There is a maximum of 1 make up lesson per month.

Considerable time goes into planning lessons therefore it is the riders responsibility to attend their scheduled lessons and to be on time.

We will be closed on the following days/holidays
